So yeah I bum the FT. Everyone here is super-nice (the other interns totally took me under their metaphorical wings, although one has a wing-like tattoo but i have yet to perch under it), the work’s super-interesting (transcribed an interview with Jonny of Acne today) and the pay…well the pay’s non-existent…but to be fair I’d probably pay myself to be here. Yeah I know, this blog is vomit-inducing. Daily duties include finding cut-outs, compiling roundups of fashion-related news features, dealing with PR companies (cue the vomit) and generally just being ‘fabulous’. Joke, there’s nothing pretentious about this office whatsoever. And that’s what I love.
Know what else I love? New Era’s new Star Wars collaboration (see Darf Vader below) and Martyn Bal’s A/W 2010 collection (see leather sleeved coat below). Know what I don’t love? The fact that I will never own either of these seeing as:
1) I don’t live in Japan
2) I forget…oh yeah I don’t have 2 grand knocking around.
Guess that’s what dreaming and perverse overweight Japanese businessmen husbands are for…
